Blüthner

Blüthner Pianos

Julius Blüthner established his workshop in Leipzig, Saxony in 1853. This accomplishment was only achieved after long and difficult campaign to gain Leipzig citizenship. Julius started his endeavor with himself and three other craftsman. A deeply religious man, Julius spoke the defining words that would allow his company to survive and flourish for the next 170 years, “May God Prevail”. The age of any particularly Blüthner piano can be determined by matching its serial number to the age table freely available on the Blüthner website. By 1900 Blüthner had become the largest piano maker in Germany, producing some 5,000 instruments annually.

Haessler

Haessler Pianos

It is a rare thing when a manufacturer possesses the skill to render two completely different voices with virtuosity. This is what Blüthner has achieved in creating the Haessler piano. In 1853, Julius Blüthner established the identity of his instrument utilizing classical methods of piano building, obtaining the unparalleled height of piano performance in the Blüthner instrument. Abroad, the high demand for German craftsmanship dictated that a modern, more expedient process be developed. In a tribute to Rudolf Blüthner-Haessler, one of the great visionaries of the Blüthner family, we are produ to offer the distinct voice of the Haessler piano.
